A visit to the Priory Visitor Centre is the best way to find out about life in medieval Coventry. The Priory was home to a community of monks for 500 years, until it was closed down on the orders of King Henry VIII. The site has been excavated to reveal the remains of Coventry’s first Cathedral and the Priory Undercrofts.
